CA King sized mattresses and toppers are a solid 72"x80" with an extra 4" glued to the end to make it 72"x84". There is no additional charge for the gluing.

330 pounds- hard to find a truly firm base. Changed out my 7 inch coils for 6 inch HQ-LUX... kept my 3 inch talay top and named my new bed format - The Brick with a bit sore hips but such better sleep and back pain gone.
Softened up with a 1.5 inch poly foam topper from local market since cheaper than paying shipping... perfection!
Second time using this product. Last year replaced my 'new' sofa cushions which was graded for 1000 pounds, but the original cushions had no support for my 330 pound body- hurting my back. HQ-LUX perfect replacement and I loved napping on sofa- figured would work for the bed base...Thanks for making a great product!

Finally decided to buy this bed and it works well as a base layer for my diy mattress. However the price dropped $50 the next week and they don’t do price adjustments, so keep that in mind.

I love a super firm bed. I slept for many years on the floor with just a mat, so most beds don't offer the support I want. This mattress totally fits the bill, it is exactly what I wanted!! Just enough give to be comfy with all the support.

Heavy box was torn to shreds, left at bottom step of porch and difficult to get into house and unpack. But the mattress is excellent. The firmness is perfect for a bad back.

So for me and my disability a good mattress is crucial for me to be able to walk. and I'm very happy to report this 6"(with the Dunlop Latex Foam Topper 3") is the only one I've had that hasn't caused issues. I first had a twin, then when I moved out I got a queen, both the exact same materials and I couldn't be happier. the twin mattress is still in great shape as well after about 8 years of wear and I only got a new one because of the size. The price is also great, comparable queen mattress were pushing me into the $1000 range and this one was almost half that. the only thing I would note is that it is very heavy, so take care when moving or lifting it. but yeah, I recommend this mattress (and topper) to any of my friends who are looking for a new mattress and I'm sure I will be ordering again in the future.

We are very happy with the foam mattresses from here! We have bought a total of three and would never go back to a traditional mattress. We have put one on both of our boats and have one at home. Suffering from back and shoulder injuries, the foam allows a wonderful cushion for pressure points. This allows us to sleep well. These are so much better than a foam mattress topper, which eventually becomes saggy. We highly recommend!

This is good foam. So good I bought a second one for what I needed. Only downside is major static when using with latex, so be careful.

I was looking for a firm foam that I could sleep on with nothing else on top. Other reviews made it sound like some people who preferred firm beds did this with this lux foam. I have learned that this ILD is way too firm to sleep on by itself. It is extremely firm and bounces back in an amazing way, like it will never break down. It will be a GREAT base foam but I wish the site had explained this better. The foam I bought is too large for a base foam and I found the descriptions on this site to not be accurate. I highly recommend doing outside research before purchasing.

Excellent product for comfort, quick delivery, and customer service. *Please note that this foam off-gasses for more than a month and is quite strong smelling. It hurt my eyes and throat and I would not recommend sleeping on it right away. That being said, this is my second order of this product. I just left it out in my sunroom to air out until I could tolerate breathing the fumes. Overall, I am satisfied with the product and the company. Knowing what I am in for, odor-wise, I would probably order again.

When we received the mattress it was very firm and very supportive of my bad back. After a month, the position where I sleep has become softer, still firm but not very firm as it originally was.

I was making boat cushion replacements and it was hard finding the foam overall size and the firmness I needed so I did not have to cut and glue pieces together to make the cushions the right sizes. Foam Factory had the size and the firmness for my requirement, and it was top quality. The order was shipped pronto, and it arrived much earlier than I expected. We needed to replace the mattress on our boat and decided to pick the same product that we had purchased before from the foam factory for our chairs. It's a very firm foam but for us we love it!
We had to cut it to fit our bed and that was easy too! We used an electric knife! We also purchased the mattress cover which made the whole process go smoothly and look great. We should have done this years ago!!
We will be making more purchases from the foam factory as we upgrade the foam in our other chairs and boat cushions!

I put off buying this foam for some months because at the price I was afraid it would be poor quality. I am very happy to say the quality is great and it arrived in perfect shape with no smell at all. I just ordered a second piece today.

I recently purchased a used cal king sized Purple brand mattress. Unfortunately it had some issues with the cover so I ordered a new cover giving me an additional 3". I decided to add some firm lux foam. My only complain is that some foam had to be glued at the factory to meet the cal king dimentions. This gluing has not made a difference with my mattress, the lux foam has definitely made the Purple mattress more comfortable.

I had a long conversation with the Foam By Mail staff via email about which foam to buy as we only need a six inch mattress for our camper van. They recommended we go with this as the base and so far we love it. We have yet to see how well it will wear over time. We needed some extra support for our original purple mattress so instead of spending hundreds of dollars on a new mattress we just added 3” of your lux HD foam to the bottom of our purple mattress and better then ever we love our mattress again. Even better then when we first got it. Using your lux hd foam as a base for our mattress has saved us money and allowed us to sleep better then ever. Just what we needed.

When I stay extremely firm, I am not joking! This mattress is FIRM. We got a 4 inch mattress and had it on a solid surface frame and it felt like I was sleeping on a rug on concrete! If you are use to sleeping on the floor, or need exceptional firmness, look no further! It was not challenging to cut to a custom size (used a very sharp knife), inflated quickly to the expected dimensions and had no smell upon opening it. They got it in the mail pretty quickly as well. Overall, happy with the company, but I am now very aware that I'm more of a medium firm sleeper vs. extremely firm! ☺️ Ordering again, can't beat the price and quality!

I've coupled a 3 inch foam with a 2 inch latex mattress topper I had, and it's the best mattress I've ever slept on for my back. The cats also seem to love the new bed, so I can recommend it for pet bedding as well.

Ordered two twin xl’s for a split king. 6”. My wife and I love them. VERY FIRM. Firmest we have ever found. My wife used to sleep on the floor if her back was acting up, and this is similar support. We’ve slept in them a few weeks, and they are softening at the hip/glute area, but still very supportive. Time will tell but we are very happy. We had a sleep number for 8 years and always slept on 100. This is much much more firm.

Mattress unpacked well without issue or significant odor. Foam was initially extremely firm (too firm to be a comfortable mattress), but after a month it broke in slightly and became more comfortable. It is used on a boat in Florida that gets hot, and the foam is handling the heat well and staying firm with quick rebound response. I just ordered another sheet for seat cushions throughout the boat. As a seat cushion there isn't the feeling that the foam will bottom out. I weigh about 130lbs and the foam seems to deflect a little less than an inch when sitting. The only downside I have found regarding this foam is that it tears a little too easily. While experimenting with gluing pieces I followed Foam Factory's recommendation to pinch foam joint together to better bond contact cement joint, and firm pressure would cause foam to rip about an inch when the foam was depressed too firmly. It has not ripped with normal handling and bending, and I anticipate many years of pleasurable use out of this foam.

Nice foam but It is too firm to sleep on by itself. I am using it for a mattress base and will have to add something on top. I have to have very firm for my bad back, but was too firm by itself.
