Product came quickly and suited my needs very well. I used the 1” thick version to line plywood boxes so I can safely transport lightweight sensitive electronics. Regular firmer foam is too firm and doesn’t have any give when used with light weight objects, but this stuff worked perfectly.
I used an electric carving knife to cut it, which cut just fine and much better than a razor knife. It is hard to cut perfectly straight lines because the foam has so much give, but that’s on me and my lack of skill not the product itself.
If I was going to do a high volume of cutting I would seriously consider having them do it.
I used 3M spray 77 and applied a coat to both the plywood and the foam, and it is holding quite well. I can pull it apart if I really try hard, but the foam usually rips before the glue lets go. For my use, the spray 77 works fine and is much cheaper/easier to get than the spray 74.

I ordered the charcoal foam 3” thick and it was the regular one. The pics online of the foam appeared a little darker than what I received. I was hoping it would be a darker shade or better yet black. It’s a darker gray which is fine. Upon letting it air I felt it and messed with it and it was soft but with a slight hardness. Slightly off the online description. Haven’t tested yet on fragile items but it will work for sure packaging. Overall, I am pleased with the product and will definitely buy again.

The foam I ordered arrived a day early and I followed the instructions to allow the foam to expand back to its original size for 24 to 48 hrs.Then using an exacto knife I cut out the pieces I need to line the drawers on my work/reloading bench. The foam I used is 1 in. and I put in 2 layers so that I can trace and cut shapes for tools.
