LTL Freight Shipping Policy

Foam Factory, Inc.'s bulk item products (Half Pallet, Full Pallet, Full Roll) are shipped via LTL (less-than-truckload) freight. When a bulk item is ordered, the entire order (including non-bulk items) will be shipped via LTL freight. Please review the following information before purchasing one of these products.

Foam Factory, Inc.'s Freight Shipping offers only apply to states within the contiguous United States. This excludes Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and other international destinations. After you have placed your order, we will contact you with a quote for the additional shipping cost. Your order will be on hold until the additional shipping payment is received.

Shipping Methods

We provide three shipping options for orders shipped via LTL freight. Please review the available methods and select the one that best matches your delivery location during checkout:

  1. LTL Freight - Non-Residential - Loading Dock or Forklift Required: Select this method when the shipping address is commercial building with either a loading dock or a forklift on-site for offloading.
  2. LTL Freight - Non-Residential - w/ Lift Gate Service: Select this method when the shipping address is a commercial building that does not have either a loading dock or forklift. The delivery truck will have a lift gate for offloading.
  3. LTL Freight - Residential Delivery w/ Lift Gate Service: Select this method for any shipment to a residential address. If your shipping address is a residential address but you choose one of the other two methods at the time of purchase, we will send you an invoice for the additional residential shipping fee.

Tracking and Receiving Your Shipment

Once the order has shipped, it will head to a freight terminal near your shipping address. At this time, our sales team will send you an email with the tracking information of the shipment.

Once the shipment arrives at the terminal, the carrier will reach out to you to schedule a delivery appointment.

Proof of Delivery (POD)

Please inspect your items before signing the POD. Damages to the pallet/packaging do not necessarily mean that your items have been damaged. If you notice that your products have been damaged, note it on the POD before signing and refuse the delivery. Failure to record damages on the POD at time of delivery will prevent Foam Factory from being able to correct the issue.

Failed Delivery and Storage Fees

If the carrier cannot contact you and is not able to schedule a delivery appointment, the freight terminal will start incurring storage fees. These fees are the responsibility of the customer and not Foam Factory, Inc. Most carriers will attempt to contact you for 2-3 days before storage fees are applied.
