Volara is an irradiation crosslinked polyolefin foam, and it complies with the Food and Drug Administration regulations for use in contact with food

Specifically, Vloara (Type A) is manufactured from poloyolefin resins complying with the following:
(21 CFR 177.1520) (c) (2.1) & (2.3)
(21 CFR 177.2600) (c) (4) (ii) (b)
(21 CFR 177.2600) (c) (4) (ix)

This means that a whole new series of food container and food contact applications are now possible using Volara Foam.
